Leadership Excellence: What does excellent leadership mean today?
On 9 October and 23 October 2025, our two thinktalks@new&able events took place in Heidelberg and Stuttgart.
A brief review…
We presented the results of our study on leadership excellence during our Thinktalks in Heidelberg and Stuttgart. It was fascinating to learn not only what constitutes good leadership today, but also what new questions arise from this.
We had intensive discussions from two perspectives – organisation and people:
How can leadership really be put into practice? And what does that mean for me as a manager and as a person in a position of responsibility?
Some thoughts that stick in our mind:
- How can shared leadership succeed, and are there any arguments against it?
- How can I recognise stress, and how can I truly relieve it?
- What to do with employees who have been strong for a long time but now need support?
These discussions show that leadership excellence is not a fixed concept, but rather a continuous dialogue between the organisation, managers and individuals.
It was two inspiring evenings with exciting discussions, enriching conversations and a pleasant setting with small culinary highlights. It was particularly nice to see how openly all the guests participated. This gave rise to many new perspectives, which made the evening especially valuable.
A big thank you to the speakers for their inspiring presentations and to all participants for coming, for the open dialogue and for the valuable ideas.
